Find out how to support women experiencing family violence while on a temporary visa.

You will learn to:

  • Understand barriers faced by women on temporary visas experiencing family violence
  • Identify migration issues in family violence cases
  • Understand the family violence provisions in the Migration Act, how they apply, and process of raising a family violence claim
  • Build confidence and ability to ask clients about their visa status
  • Identify the evidence needed to establish a family violence exemption
  • Understand the barriers clients may face providing evidence

Community legal centre lawyers who wish to better support clients who may be experiencing migration legal issues and family violence.
