Job opportunities

As a senior lawyer you will provide high-quality, best practice advice and casework services with a focus on family law and family violence matters. The role will include some duty lawyer appearance work, particularly for Family Dispute Resolution Service. You will mentor and support to other lawyers within the team and support the Managing Lawyer.

 

Full-time or part time role (min 4 days)

Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 per annum + super + salary packaging (pro-rata)

Support the planning, design, and development of online training modules for lawyers who support family violence victim-survivors. 

 

Part time, 3 days a week

As a lawyer or senior lawyer you will provide high quality, best practice intake and legal advice services to women as part of an integrated service model, including some appearances in court (other than trials).

 

Ongoing Contract – Full time or part time (min 4 days)

 

Salary: $90,000 -$120,000 (pro-rata) + superannuation and salary packaging

Develop and deliver best practice training, legal education and community development programs about family violence, family law and child protection. Your work will support people to respond appropriately to women experiencing relationship breakdown or violence.

Full time or Part time – negotiable

Great leave

We offer 5 weeks annual leave and 3 bonus leave days to support rest at the end of the calendar year. 

 

Paid parental leave for 16 weeks and up to 10 days of cultural leave are also on offer. 

Salary Packaging

You can get up to $15,900 in tax-free pay each year ($611 each fortnight) for costs like rent, car expenses or a mortgage. 

Annual leave loading

In addition to your ordinary pay, you are also paid an annual leave loading of 17.5% of your ordinary rate of pay during periods on annual leave.

Flexible work arrangements

We offer a hybrid working model, so that we all have options to work some days in the office and some days at home.

 

We also offer flexibility in terms of part time/full time employment, and some flexibility with regards to your working hours.

Employee Assistance Program and professional support

We know that the work we do is complex and can be emotionally challenging All Women’s Legal staff can access free and confidential support and counselling or subsidised visits with a mental health professional they have a relationship with.

 

Group sessions are run by an external professional each month to make sense of our roles from a trauma informed lens, debrief and learn ways to support ourselves through self-care.
