Respect and equality in the legal sector

A project to prevent work related gendered violence

Everyone deserves to be safe, supported and respected at work.

But right now, Victoria’s legal workplaces are often unsafe for women and gender diverse people.

We’re working with Victoria’s legal sector to foster safe, fair and equitable workplaces. When we do this, we can stop sexual harassment, gender-based discrimination before it starts.

Seeking legal firms to lead the sector-wide change we need

We want to work with two small or mid-sized legal firms to develop occupational health and safety and organisational change resources tailored to the legal sector. These resources will assist your firm to meet the new Respect@Work legislative requirements.

Why take part?
Ending gendered violence is the foundation of successful, productive and healthy workforces.

Benefits for your workplace:

  • reduce risk to the health, safety and wellbeing of your people.
  • gain valuable data and insights to guide action.
  • access newly developed resources and strategic guidance from the Women’s Legal project team with expertise in the prevention of sexual harassment, and
  • grow peer learning and networking opportunities with other participating workplaces.

How to take part
