Our Case Notes and the Law e-learn strengthens practitioners’ skills to write and maintain case notes by taking a legal lens. It equips practitioners with an understanding and awareness of the legal implications of case notes.

Participants will gain an understanding of:

  • Which laws they need to comply with, for example, privacy and freedom of information
  • Confidentiality of notes, including legal professional privilege
  • The court system
  • Subpoenas
  • Appearing as a witness in court

 

Participants will gain skills in:

  • Writing and maintaining good case notes

Family violence practitioners and support workers in community, health and human services.

Online. The self-guided e-module takes approximately 60 mins to complete.
