Avital Kamil

Avital has more than fifteen years’ experience as a lawyer, with a strong focus on family violence and advocating for systemic reform. She is committed to trauma-informed, integrated practice and works to strengthen multi-disciplinary responses to complex and sensitive legal issues, improving outcomes for clients and the wider sector. Before joining Women's Legal Service Victoria, Avital held senior and leadership roles at Victoria Legal Aid, Djirra, Victoria Police, and Seniors Rights Victoria. She is a Board member of Emerge Women and Children's Support Network.
