Victims of crime
Financial assistance through the Victims of Crime Financial Assistance Scheme
You are considered a victim of crime if you have suffered physical, psychological or emotional injury, or financial loss because of a crime. This includes being subjected to family violence or sexual assault.
Victims of crime have rights and may be able to get financial assistance through the Victims of Crime Financial Assistance Scheme.
For many victims of crime, financial support means they can get new locks on their home, access counselling, secure stable housing, or provide for their children while they recover.
